Start your child's inspiring journey towards achievement at our school

The International School of Como is the only IB World School in the region, catering for students aged 2 to 18. Carefully designed to meet the needs of both local and international learners, our school will prepare your child for lifelong success.

When places are available, we accept new students throughout the academic year. The Diploma Years (Grades 12 and 13) require careful consideration - please reach out to the Admissions Team. Learn more about our school by scheduling a personalised “Virtual Tour & Talk” presentation, booking a campus tour, or registering to attend an Open Day.

Held on Teams, this first meeting and presentation with our Admissions team is a chance to get to know each other and go through a complete introduction to the IB programmes, educational approaches, and extracurricular activities offered at our school. Please contact us at admissions.como@iscomo.com if the preset times are not possible.

step 3

step 4

Student Interview

Applicants should present previous school reports for the past 2 years together with the ISC Teacher recommendation Form to attend a meeting with your child and an appropriate member of the leadership team for the student interview. This is when parents meet the Principal or Head of primary/secondary.

Grade 12 applicants must also complete a CAT4 cognitive assessment before the interview.

step 5

Offer & Acceptance

The final decision on acceptance and placement is made by the Leadership Team, and you will receive an offer to complete your child's enrolment.

Registration & Admission

Once the school receives the requested documentation and the first installment has been paid, your child will be fully enrolled at the International School of Como. Welcome!

Learn More About our Admissions Policy

  • The Leadership Team makes the final decision on acceptance and placement of prospective students based on reports and records from previous schools, the applicant's potential to benefit from our available programmes, and the school’s capacity to meet their educational needs.
  • Admission is possible at any time during the school year, except for Grades 12 and 13, if places are available. The school reserves the right to deny or postpone admission if it cannot meet the applicant's needs or if a class is full, in which case the applicant will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Students with diagnosed learning or behavioural issues are considered after evaluations by the school’s support services and an agreement with the family on funding necessary individual support per the Inclusion Policy.
  • When there is doubt about the suitability of our programmes for an applicant, we may admit students on a trial or conditional basis. Targets and success criteria will be identified in writing before admission. The trial period is long enough to allow us to assess whether the student can succeed at IS Como while still being short enough to enable a transfer elsewhere if our system is not appropriate.
