I truly believe that all of us - children and adults - learn best when we can make choices and enjoy our learning journey. The Primary Years Programme at ISC allows teachers to engage with students in topics and questions that they themselves are interested in. This is what makes an IB education so dynamic.

Our students enjoy learning, feel valued and develop the skills they'll need to achieve their full potential - creativity, metacognition, collaboration, and an appreciation for the wider world. It is a privilege to work with such active and enthusiastic students, eager to take action and shape bright futures.

Our students are central to everything we do at ISC. Our aim is to develop them individually into responsible, confident and principled students. To guide them to be internationally minded, global citizens who welcome diversity and display compassion will create a generation to build a more peaceful world. This is why I believe in the IB, why I am devoted to ISC and why I am also educating my daughter at ISC.

PYP Coordinator

Being a PYP student means connecting the content of a lesson to the “real world”. At ISC, we often find these connections through the questions our students ask themselves and others around them. Inquiry is at the heart of our education and it drives our students to guide their learning and develop a deeper understanding.

Developing on their learning journey also means collaborating, a skill our students naturally develop during their time at ISC. They are also confident speakers who effectively share their knowledge with others, which makes it a joy to walk into classrooms and chat with them.

MYP Coordinator

At ISC our Middle Years Programme (MYP) is rich with exciting learning opportunities for our Grade 7-11 students. Through carefully developed units of inquiry, they will discover Global Contexts, Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, and the continued implementation of the Learner Profile in their everyday lives. We offer an enriching, diverse, cultural, and fulfilling academic journey, which fosters a vision of lifelong learning. Our students feel known, challenged and safe.

My personal professional journey includes an extensive and comprehensive understanding of both British and the International Baccalaureate educational systems. To serve our community as the MYP Coordinator is a privilege and I am dedicated to supporting all of our students to believe in themselves and to reach their academic potential.

IBDP Coordinator

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a rigorous pre-university pathway that challenges students academically and promotes critical thinking skills across all disciplines. With a curriculum encompassing languages, humanities, sciences, mathematics, and the arts, the IBDP is renowned for its academic rigour, including extended essays, theory of knowledge, internal assessments, and final exams. At the International School of Como we provide a supportive and comprehensive academic environment that supports each and every student in realising their full potential. We encourage collaboration among students, creating a community where students can exchange ideas and learn from one another. I take pride in being part of this programme and to empower students to excel academically and develop the skills needed for future success in a globalised world.
